For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved plaid.  I wore a lot of plaid in middle school and then again after watching the movie Clueless in 1995!  I loved Cher’s yellow plaid skirt and blazer and remember wanting to wear and outfit just like that.  Needless to say, my love for plaid never faded so I’m thrilled that plaid has been trending this fall season.

My dear friend, Hunter of Hunter Premo, and I team up each month for our #HunterBrookeStyled collaboration to show you our own take on a specific trend and this month we are styling plaid, plaid, and more plaid!  Hunter is in her 20’s and I in my 30’s so we hope to inspire women of all ages to take a trend and style it with their own personal touch.

What I love most about Hunter’s look is that she created a look with both low and high end pieces.  Her look is polished, put together, and affordable!  Hunter styled this adorable a-line plaid skirt that is under $20!  You would never know that her skirt is this affordable because it looks much more expensive.  It is so flattering on her and I love how she paired it with a solid cream sweater and a great pair of over-the-knee boots!  She accessorized with an everyday cross body bag and this fun hat from Ace of Something!

I’ve personally been loving plaid pants as they are versatile and can be worn for various occasions so I styled these high waisted navy and white wide leg plaid pants with a grey & navy grid plaid coat.  I love the plaid on plaid look…you can mix various plaid prints and still create a cohesive polished (not overdone) look.  I will also wear a sweater with these plaid pants and of course will be wearing my plaid coat over a variety of looks as well!

I encourage you to try the plaid trend.  From pants, skirts, sweaters, tops, coats, to scarves and shoes…plaid is classic and timeless!

I typically live in dresses during the summertime but I’ve recently been wearing more and more jumpsuits…they are just so fun to wear!  As you know, I LOVE just about anything floral so when I spotted this cropped floral jumpsuit I knew I had to have it.

The bright colorful floral print immediately caught my eye and I love that this jumpsuit has a rich black backdrop.  I immediately thought about how perfect this jumpsuit is to wear now but also how perfect it is to wear into the fall as well.  Because of the thin shoulder straps, I will wear this in the fall over a fitted long sleeve tee or bodysuit and I’ll also wear a little moto jacket over it for added warmth.  The cropped leg style will look great with a pair of booties as well.  I’m all about versatility and this jumpsuit is perfect to wear now and wear later.

Have you heard that Joules has launched at Dillard’s?!  This amazing British brand has traveled across the pond to bring us their feminine colorful and beautiful pieces!  Lucky us!

Yesterday I partnered with Joules and Dillard’s for a launch event at the Cool Springs Galleria Mall.  It was a lot of fun to see all of the colorful Joules pieces in our local store, interact with customers, enjoy some sweet treats, and have our hair braided at the braid bar!

What I love most about Joules is their fun colorful prints!  I encourage you to stop in to your local Dillard’s to check out the collection.  It is full of bright colors, subtle & bold florals, stripes, buffalo check, as well as some other fun prints.  You all know how much I love floral anything so these two floral Joules dresses are right up my alley!

I also wanted to share some of my favorite Joules pieces!  I love the stripe/floral combo fitted dress, the bold floral print shift dress, the large gingham fit and flare dress, and the striped t-shirt dress!  I also adore their rain jackets as well!
