This Halloween, I was inspired by our love of Star Wars. We started watching Star Wars as a family within the last several years and we’ve been big fans ever since! Some of the most mysterious and intriguing characters are from the Dark Side of the Force so this year, I decided to create a Darth Maul Halloween costume.

Darth Maul…also known as Maul is the son of Dathomir, a powerful Zabrak warrior, a disgraced Sith Lord, a feared criminal Lord and is seeking revenge against Obi-Wan…his arch nemesis.

Becoming Darth Maul was a lot of fun and allowed me to tap into the Dark Side of the Force. Although most days of the year I favor the Light Side of the Force and their hero characters, I like to tap into villainous characters for Halloween. What better way to celebrate spooky season!

For reference, I sourced my costume directly from www.SkyCostume.com. They offer high quality costumes…just be aware that it will take several weeks to arrive to you. I also shared a tutorial of how I did my make-up on Instagram. My colored contacts are from www.ColouredContacts.com.

Where has summer gone?! Time always passes quickly when you are having fun and we’ve truly been enjoying every bit of summer. We start back to school in early August so we are already starting to prepare by getting together our school supplies, backpacks, locker swag, etc.

Every couple of years, the kids get to pick out a new backpack, which is one of their favorite things to pick out for back to school. We’ve always loved Vera Bradley backpacks…their prints are colorful and fun, they are comfortable to carry, they are sturdy and they are made to last.

Today, I’m sharing a Vera Bradley backpack comparison guide in hopes of helping you select the right backpack for your student. Vera Bradley backpacks are excellent for anyone who enjoys carrying a backpack too…from school, to work, to travel…they are the perfect everyday companion.

1. The XL Journey Backpack in ReActive – we love this backpack in the lavender butterflies print…it also comes in 3 other prints and in solid black. The ReActive material is lightweight, water repellant, and is made from recycled PET water bottles. This backpack has all of the bells and whistles and I particularly love all of the pockets and compartments. There is also a ventilated pouch for your shoes and extra clothes. This would be an excellent backpack for a student who needs the extra space and may have a sports practice after school!
2. The XL Campus Backpack in Recycled Cotton – this style has always been one of our personal favorites.
   We love the cotton quilted look and how cute is this Butterfly By pattern?! This backpack is made from 100% recycled cotton. It has front and back zip pockets and two side slip pockets…perfect for carrying a water bottle. The shoulder straps are nicely padded as well for extra comfort!
3. The Utility Backpack in Recycled Cotton – this backpack is available in 5 solid colors and 2 prints and is made with recycled cotton. The size of the backpack is perfect for everyday use. I especially love carrying this backpack when running errands or shopping. It is comfortable to carry and big enough to fit all of your everyday essentials. The drawstring keeps the backpack snuggly closed and the various zip and slip pockets are ideal for holding your phone, keys, etc.
4. The Small Backpack in Performance Twill – this backpack comes in 3 solids and 4 prints and is made of water-repellant polyester. This backpack is also a great option for everyday use. It is lightweight, super comfortable to carry and small enough so your belongings are easy to retrieve. The side slip pocket will keep your water bottle secure and the other zip pockets will help you keep everything organized.
5. The Grand Backpack – this backpack comes in solid black and two different prints. I love this fun colorful tropical print called Rain Forest Canopy Coral! It is lightweight, has padding for comfort, is water-repellant and is made from recycled PET water bottles…22 bottles to be exact! This one has pockets GALORE…any pocket that you may need, this backpack has it! It also had an adjustable chest strap which is helpful when carrying heavier loads. You can also clip your keys or water bottle onto this backpack to keep them secure and nearby for easy access! What’s not to love about this backpack?!

Walmart knocked it out of the park this fall when it comes to chic, cozy, affordable pieces and I’m excited to shared many of my recent November Walmart fashion finds with you!

From awesome sets, to elevated sweaters, to a cozy pullover, high waisted jeans, great slouch booties, to a Moto jacket that can be dressed up or down, to the most gorgeous dresses…Walmart truly has every woman’s style, size, and budget in mind!

Let’s start with sets…this leopard print hoodie and matching joggers are so soft and perfect for lounging in. You can also wear this set out and about to run errands. Feel put together while keeping your comfort top of mind in this set. I also love this tie dye hoodie and pant set! For size reference, I am wearing a size small in the leopard hoodie and a size medium in the leopard joggers.

I could easily live in cozy comfy sweaters and pullovers throughout the fall/winter seasons. I love the colors of both this long cardigan and this cropped button front sweater. Not to mention, how cute is this animal print?! Neither of these sweaters itch either, which is a huge win in my book because I have sensitive skin. Now would be an excellent time to check some off of your holiday shopping list as well and these sweaters would make an excellent gift. For size reference, I am wearing a size small in both sweaters. I also love this sweater as well!

How comfy is this sherpa pullover?! Its nice and thick and can be worn with jeans or with leggings. If you live in a cold climate area, this pullover is a must and it comes in a variety of colors too! Not to mention, it is only $27 and I’m wearing a size medium!

Let’s talk about dresses! Walmart consistently impresses me with their gorgeous dresses…from the style, to the prints, to all of the colors…their dresses are some of my absolute favorites. They are great quality and are affordable too!

This gorgeous blue and orange dress is one of my favorites…I love the print and the style of this flowy dress that is sure to turn heads! It fits so well and is very classy looking…I’m so impressed with the quality for the price of this dress! I love it paired with this stunning faux suede Moto jacket and these faux suede scrunch booties. I’m wearing a small in the dress and the jacket. The boots run true to size.

How beautiful are the colors in the second dress?! I was immediately drawn to the purple and orange combination…big Clemson fan here! Truly…the colors are stunning and the dress is high quality as well. The wrap style is very flattering on all figures.

Finally this snake print dress is so fun to wear and I love the price on this one as well. The top half of the dress is shirt dress style with buttons and the hemline has a large flowy ruffle. The tie sash cinches your waist as well. I’m wearing a size small in this dress for reference.

As you can see, all of these pieces from Walmart are great quality, look wonderful on, and are such a great price! I can’t wait to see what other pieces Walmart has for the holidays! All of these pieces and more of my favorites are linked below for easy shopping access as well!

Shopping for a great pair of jeans can be stressful and there have been many times where I have left a fitting room feeling frustrated. I often times find myself asking…will I find a pair that not only fits my curves, but also has the perfect amount of stretch, is the perfect length, has the right amount of distressing…and so on?! A lot of jeans are not made to fit all shapes and sizes but I’m here to tell you that Sophia jeans collection from Walmart does exactly that! They truly are made to fit all shapes and sizes.

Her denim is made to fit a woman’s curves while also slimming in all of the right places! Not to mention they are under $30 and are super comfortable. Sophia’s jean collection offers sizing from 0-22 in denim and from XS-XXXL in tops and jackets…talk about body positive inclusivity! I find that her denim also fits true to size so you can rest assured that when you order your normal size, they will fit!

The first pair I am wearing are truly some of my favorites…these are the skinny deconstructed mid-rise ankle jeans. It’s a medium wash with the perfect amount of distressing and they are so figure flattering! I paired these jeans with a bold candy apple red sleeveless body suit (under $20) and this gorgeous faux suede jacket…both are also from Sophia Vergara’s new fall collection! Plus these jeans are only $25, which is such a steal!

Take your jeans to the next level with these black coated jegging seamed high-waisted ankle jeans! They are priced under $23 and can easily be dressed up or down.

I paired these jeggings with a fun leopard print sleeveless mock neck body suit and the same chic and comfortable faux suede jacket! Throw on a pair of heels (or boots) and some fun jewelry and you have a polished chic look that is super affordable.

Holiday parties, events, and special occasions call for festive outfits! Today, on WSMV news channel 4’s Today in Nashville, I shared some of my favorite holiday looks that. How gorgeous is the mixed print patchwork maxi dress from Walmart?! I recently shared this same dress in a black, yellow, and orange floral pattern and I loved it so much that I had to go back and get the same dress in a different print.

I was immediately drawn to the jewel toned colors of this dress and I knew that it would fit me well so I added it right to my cart when shopping online! I love finding affordable high quality pieces from Walmart!

I then found the perfect high waist wide leather belt to cinch my waist and great pair of microsuede platform booties to compliment this gorgeous maxi dress. I love how the belt and booties coordinate with and accentuate the colors of the dress.

I also bought this gorgeous teddy bear wine colored coat to pair with this dress and many other looks as the temps get cooler! This coat from Walmart is so affordable and is truly great quality. I’m wearing a size small in both the dress and the coat and a size 8 in the booties.

Affordable fashion is important to most and I love finding pieces that look great, are high quality, and fit within most everyones budget. Walmart.com has become a go-to destination for me when looking for cute affordable pieces. Walmart has such cute fashionable pieces that are all within a super affordable price range. I’ve specifically loved shopping brands on Walmart.com such as Time & Tru, Sofia Vergara, Scoop, and Circus by Sam Edelman.

As you know, I LOVE florals so to no ones surprise, I found several fall floral pieces from Walmart.com including this gorgeous cold shoulder floral top (picture above) which also comes in 2 other colors! I love the floral patter, ruffle detail at the neckline, and slight ruffle bell sleeve. I’m wearing a size small for reference. The top is priced right under $30, which is such a great price for such a pretty floral blouse that you can dress up or dress down.

This floral dress is one of my favorite recent Walmart finds! I love the rich colors for fall and it is priced right under $60! I’m wearing a size small and I’ve belted it as well. It looks great both with a belt and without a belt. I also love these boots that look like crocodile but of course are faux. They are such great quality and are the perfect black boot to wear with both jeans and dresses. I am wearing the same boot for all three looks!

And how cute is this floral peplum top?! This top also comes in other prints/colors and is perfect for layering with a moto jacket like this navy blue one that I also found on Walmart.com! I’m wearing a small in both the top an the moto jacket. These jeans are another great find as they are high waisted, true to size (I’m wearing a size 4), and they fit right at the ankle on me and I’m 5’4″ tall.

Happy Saturday! Today I’m sharing some of my recent, FAVORITE, Amazon finds…an Amazon Haul. Amazon has quickly become a go-to destination for ALL THINGS but often times it requires a hunt, especially when you are just wanting to find fun new things. I’ve done the hunting for you and am happy to share the things that I’m currently loving, which are all affordable too!

Camo Jacket – I love the muted camo print and overall fit. I ordered a size medium to allow for plenty of layering room and it fits perfectly.

Gemstone Statement Earrings – these multicolored statement earrings bring the WOW factor. They will be perfect to wear throughout the fall season and well into the holidays…think holiday parties! They are even more gorgeous in person.

Turquoise Ring – this is a bit of a splurge, priced right at $100, but I think this is a steal for a high quality beautiful turquoise ring. I ordered a size 8 so I can wear it on my pointer finger. It is ever prettier in person and I love the size of the stone.

Leopard Loungewear Set – this set is thin yet super soft and cozy…its perfect for lounging in at home or taking with you on a trip. I’m wearing a small in this set and there is still plenty of room for a relaxed fit.

Leopard Packing Cubes – pack smarter and keep yourself organized too. These packing cubes are prefect for all of your travels and come with cubes, laundry bags, and a shoe bag.

Floral Dress – the bold floral print is beautiful and the colors are perfect for fall. Wear this dress with a great pair of booties or over-the-knee boots and layer it with a long sweater cardigan or a moto jacket.

Some other notable Amazon favorites of mine include this leopard print toiletry bag, this tortoise shell acrylic box clutch, this daily facial cleaning/exfoliating brush, this leather travel wallet, and this makeup case.
